The Purpose of a circulatory (Transport) System in multicellular organisms
The Purpose of a Circulatory (Transport) System To transport nutrients and oxygen to all cells in the body so they can function properly. To remove the waste that are produced by cells to a point where they can be removed from the body.e.g urea-to the skin and kidneys, carbon dioxide –to the lungs etc To move other chemicals such as hormones, antibodies and blood proteins around the body Transport in Unicellular organisms · Single celled (unicellular eg, amoeba ) organisms get their nutrients, oxygen and remove their waste by diffusion . · These substances (food, oxygen, waste etc) diffuse into and out of the bodies of unicellular organisms through their cell membranes. · This is because no part of the body of these single cellular organisms is too far away from their surrounding or environment (which is usually water or moist areas). ...
